There are many different activities that people are taking on while being stuck at home such as painting, yoga, spring cleaning and the list goes on. One of the trending topics around keeping busy different quarantine are the various workout routines that people are posting all over social media. If you’re interested and looking for a new routine to follow, then keep reading!

There are different workout plans that are starting to surface the internet during this time because people are trying occupy themselves while being stuck inside.

One of the most popular workout YouTube channels that I have seen is Chloe Ting’s channel. She also has a website where she offers free workout programs which correlate to her YouTube videos. Her channel focuses solely around workouts and routines that can be done in the comfort of your own home, which is perfect since gyms are currently closed. These workouts are also convenient because they do not require any equipment.

She has multiple playlists on her channel that are focused on different workouts for whatever need you are looking for. Some examples of playlists she has are a cardio workout to lose belly fat and the slim thigh 25-day program. She also has different challenges that are aimed towards specific parts of the body.

These videos are super short and perfect to get a little workout in during a busy day. Her videos typically range anywhere from 11 to 20 minutes. I know what you’re thinking, how is that even a workout? That’s what I thought too before I tried the workout myself. Since I was constantly moving and there are only 5 second breaks in between every few exercises, I was definitely working up a sweat!

The most popular challenge that I have seen people trying online is the 2 weeks shred challenge. On her website, she has the full schedule laid out and which videos of hers you need to complete each day for the challenge. This consists of 2-4 workouts a day ranging from 23-47 minutes a day. I think the best way to approach it is to write out the whole schedule on a piece of paper so it’s easier to refer to. I also find this motivating so you can cross off the days as you complete them.

While we are on the topic of working out, I also wanted to mention the pressure from social media regarding the quarantine weight gain and weight loss. This is a difficult time for everyone and people are handling this situation in their own way. Don’t feel like YOU have to work out or lose weight because people all over social media are telling you that you should be using this time to get in the best shape.

This is all about taking time for YOURSELF and doing whatever you feel you need to be doing. Whether that be working out or picking up some new hobbies. The most important thing is to feel good about yourself. I know I felt really unmotivated during the beginning of all this and it was really hard to put energy into anything. I promise the feeling won’t last forever! Sometimes we just need some inspiration from others to get us going and I hope everyone can find that during this weird time.
