Some students feel like their four year journey towards a Bachelor’s Degree takes forever. For students who spend six or eight years working on their Bachelor’s, it may feel like an eternity. But Omar Chavez has been on his path to a degree for twenty years, proving that anything can be accomplished with patience and determination. Prison, financial issues, and drug use might have slowed him down, but Omar gives new meaning to the word “resilient.” He recently sat down with Reporter Nicolas Garcia.
